Prescriptions

Repeat Prescriptions

Patients on medication do not always need to see their doctor for a repeat prescription. Attached to your prescription is a request form, which is monitored by your doctor. When further supplies are needed, tick the items that you require and post the request in the Repeat Prescriptions Box in the foyer of the surgery.

Order Online

Alternatively it is possible to request a repeat prescription using the internet. This is the most efficient and safest way of ordering your medications. If you are already registered please follow the link at the top of this page.  If you need additional help with ordering medications, please do not hesitate to contact a member of the team who will be able to assist you.

If you would like to register for this service or would like further details please contact Reception who will issue you with a user name and passord.

Please allow 72 hours for collection (excluding weekends and bank holidays).

Please see details of ‘Repeat Prescription Collection Times’ above the repeat prescription box in the foyer of the practice.

We do not accept prescription requests over the phone unless in exceptional circumstances agreed by the Practice Manager.

If you are planning holiday please ensure you order any necessary medications well in advance of your departure as due to staffing, we are unable to prioritise these.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

Network Pharmacy Team

NETWORK PHARMACY TEAM

We are part of Central Bournemouth Primary Care Network and benefit from the knowledge and skills of a small team of Pharmacists/Pharmacy Technicians, which support our clinicians here at the practice.

They can help with medication queries, prescriptions and structured medication reviews as requested by a GP.

You may be booked telephone calls or appointments with one of the team.
